Nomination is $65 for vehicle and driver/rider and an extra 5 passes are available at $13 each with pre-entry only.
Discounts : Competitors who travel from centres 200klm or more from Townsville receive a $15 discount on their pre-entered nomination . No discounts or passes available on race day or after close of pre-entries. Paramount Hire Supermodified
Is contested by all Dragsters, Sedans and T-Buckets running quicker than 10.00 seconds. It is run on shoot-out format. The winner receives $500 and the runner-up $200. Other competitors qualifying quicker than 10.00 seconds will receive $40 per round contested.
Hobson Constructions Super Sedan
Those qualifying quicker than 11.50 seconds will contest this Bracket. It will be run on Shoot-out. The winner will receive $300 and the runner-up $120. Other competitors qualifying within the cut off will receive $20 per round contested.
Super Street ( not offered at King of the Hill)
This Bracket is contested by all remaining cars on shoot-out. The winner receives $200. The runner-up $100.
Modified Bike
All bikes contest this Bracket on shoot-out format. The winner $275 and the runner-up $120
The Dragway reserves the right to alter the format of any Bracket
In the case of a tye in points there will be a count back to the closest to their dial-in (safe-side) on any of the 3 rounds of racing.
Junior Dragster
This Bracket to be contested by all Junior Dragsters. Trophies to the winner and runner-up. No nomination fee for this Bracket but pre-entry required. Crew passes available with pre-entry at $13 each

Northern Nationals May 1st /2nd May
This longest running event in North Queensland with origins back to 1970 and is held on it's traditional date - the May Day weekend 2010. It will feature a Testing and Street Meet on the Saturday afternoon/evening and the main event on the Sunday night. This event draws up to 100 competitors from centres including Rockhampton, Mackay, Mt Isa, Burdekin, Innisfail through to Cairns and surrounding districts as well as the strong local contingent. 2008 event drew 90 nominations, 2009 had 91 nominated for the event. Main race day (Sunday)will have the gates opening to competitors at 12.30pm and qualifying will commence at 2.30pm
Winter Classic $3000 Bracket 19 th June 2010
The Winter Classic held annually since 1978 and since 2003 has been dedicated to the memory of Ron David Ton of Fun, a former racer of Townsville who lost his life in a tragic accident at sea on the 29 May of that year. The Winter Classic to be held on 19 th June in 2010 is a $3000 prize bracket for all sedans and modified vehicles.
This featured bracket is open to dragsters, T-buckets, super sedans and streeters. All competitors are in with an even chance of taking the big bucks.
Trevor Mobbs Memorial - 17 th July 2010
The Wild Bunch was first seen at the Townsville Dragway in July 1989 just 4 days after the death of Trevor Mobbs who dedicated his life to the sport and was the force that got drag racing happening in North Queensland . The Wild Bunch has been the most popular bracket with the northern fans in the history of drag racing in North Queensland . Tyre smoking, half track burnouts and that ground shaking action had continued to build the Wild Bunch tradition.
Annual All Bike Drag Meeting 31 st July 2010
This is the one event held each year that is dedicated to the bike riding enthusiast. The longest running bike event in Australia , there will be brackets for all types of bikes from dedicated race bikes to trail bikes. The Bike Meeting is a day not to be missed with plenty of fast action and a great social atmosphere for everybody competitors and spectators alike.
King of the Hill 6th November 2010
This is another event with a long history. Always held early November KOTH is the one event with big money for a Street Bracket - $1000 cash for the win. The best of the streeters from all areas of north Queensland are to be seen at this one, from Rocky to the far North and west to Mt Isa. It is a full race program with other brackets for all types of vehicles. The event is the last of the major events of each year but is also the first of the points round for the following years Racer of the Year Series. Double points give racers a good start to the new season.
STREET MEETS
Street Legal Meets are held almost every other Saturday night during the year. If you have ever wanted to put the pedal to the metal just to see what your car and you can do
then these Street Meets provide ample opportunities.
The cost is just $28 to race, paid at the gate on the day and for that you can have as many runs as you like. There is a time card given for each pass you do and you can run to improve your personal best time or beat the one in the other Lane. You can even challenge a mate. Gates open at 7pm racing 7.30pm. Passengers or Spectators pay $10. These are a No Alcohol event
To get you racing you need to have an approved crash helmet and clothing covering limbs as well as enclosed footwear. The driver must provide proof that a driving license has been held. Learners Permit is not sufficient. You are allowed a passenger who must also meet the same requirements. Whenever you have a passenger on board you are only permitted solo runs. That is nobody in the other lane. There must always be a maximum of two persons in any race whether they are in the same car or separate vehicles.
Your vehicle must pass an observation checklist through Scrutineering. This includes tread on the tyres, intact windscreen, radiator overflow bottle, and very important working tail lights so we can see when you turn off the track. Remember you are almost a kilometre from the startline. Tail-shaft loops are highly recommended.
Group Concessions : If you belong to a social or sporting Club then Street Meets may provide a novel outing for your group. A Group Booking for 20 or more racers gives a generous discount. These bookings must be arranged and paid for by the Wednesday before the Event. Give us a call for more information.
